Scotland Slams 302: Nepal ‘A’ Chasing Massive 303-Run Target

KIRTIPUR :Scotland has set a daunting 303-run target for Nepal ‘A’ in the fifth ODI held at the TU Cricket Ground today.

Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, Scotland capitalized on the conditions to post a powerhouse total of 302/8 in their allotted 50 overs.


The Scottish innings was ignited by opener George Munsey, who played a blistering knock of 62 runs off 51 balls, decorated with six boundaries and three sixes. The middle order kept the pressure on the Nepali bowlers, with Michael English scoring a vital 56, while captain Richie Berrington contributed 40 runs. Useful knocks from Brandon McMullen (39) and Jack Jarvis (30) ensured the visitors crossed the 300-run milestone.

Nepal ‘A’'s bowling attack was led by Aakash Chand, who remained the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. Sher Malla, Bipin Khatri, Pawan Sarraf, and Kushal Malla supported with one wicket apiece.

Nepal ‘A’ now requires 303 runs at a required rate of over 6 runs per over to clinch the victory
