Big Relief For Nepali Football: NSC Withdraws ANFA Ban Unconditionally!

Kathmandu:In a major development for domestic sports, the National Sports Council (NSC) has officially lifted the suspension imposed on the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).

The decision brings an end to a prolonged deadlock in Nepali football, with the suspension being revoked unconditionally. ANFA spokesperson Suresh Shah confirmed the breakthrough, expressing optimism for the future of the sport in the country.

Taking to social media, Shah hailed the move, stating, "This is an extremely commendable and historic decision for the development of Nepali football." He further added that the lifting of the ban will inject fresh momentum into the country's football ecosystem.

The sports governing body had previously clamped down on ANFA on March 24 (Chaitra 11), slapping a three-month suspension on the football association for attempting to hold elections illegally and defying direct council directives. With the ban now completely withdrawn, full-scale football operations are set to resume under the national body.
